Here’s a few Harry Potter gifts that certainly brightened up my year
hi everyone it’s Rodney here and today I’m going to be showing you a few Harry Potter gifts now these could be ones that make it onto your wish list or you could send this to someone who might be buying something for you…
so let’s get on with magic
now you must be aware of the magical Cherry Wallis and this year saw some exciting projects come from her
in the form of a clothing range, which is by Ordinary Owl
and I was fortunate enough to receive some gifts from her
one of them was a t-shirt and also a sweatshirt, now the sweatshirt isn’t available anymore, but the t-shirt still is
and I can honestly say that this is one of my favourite
t-shirts – I wear this quite a lot
and it has this beautiful gold metallic embroidery of a lightning bolt
the magic that’s included in this and it’s by a friend and a fellow fan
I would definitely say this is a great addition to anyone’s wardrobe
so during a year where we couldn’t really do very much out of the house
Wizarding World had been working on some amazing things and came out with a Harry Potter pin badge collection
under the form of Harry Potter Pin Seeking
and I was kindly gifted their Hufflepuff set,
which comes in this cute little box
and it has the enamel pins, it’s in the house set
some beautiful pins and they’ve been releasing some individual ones – you can buy some of these individually
but there are set exclusive ones only
so do look out for those if you’re interested but they have some beautiful ones
and they launched some per season, so there was like a Halloween range, which again sold out like immediately
and they’ve just launched a Christmas range as well, so look out for that one
so Wizarding World had been making some magic behind the scenes
in the form of a bottled Butterbeer, now Butterbeer was only available at wizarding world locations such as
LA, Orlando, the one in the UK, Japan
– I believe it was going to be available at
the New York Wizarding World store that was going to be opening this year but that got delayed, so…
then what better form you can get it is bottled Butterbeer
it is gluten free and it’s vegan
and has this cool label which i believe is the label at the moment and they’re gonna have
different labels like collectible ones
I love the taste, I love Butterbeer
and if you order it from the Warner Bros Studio Tour it comes in this really cool packaging which is like
Tudor/medieval wizards making Butterbeer
it’s just so funny, I just had to – this is just the packaging to protect the bottle, but I kept it because I love it
but yeah if you can’t get out of the house and you want some magic
then I’d really recommend some bottled Butterbeer
at present I believe it’s only available to purchase in the UK, but if you can get that then I’d really recommend that
now this year, Halloween brought another range from the magical Cherry Wallis’s Ordinary Owl
and as part of that, there was a pumpkin spice candle, which I adored
and actually used so quickly so I can’t even show you it
but I have showcased it in another video because I’ve used it and I love it, I loved it so much, I just I loved it
as well as the some cool cool clothing
and one of the ones that’s still available is this wizard t-shirt
and it’s kind of like a stonewash black
it is also available in which and this is some beautiful
silver metallic embroidery
and there’s some more magic from Ordinary Owl that I’ll show you in just a moment, but
this is the one, the spooky one that I got this year
often I stumble across some products when i’m just like searching internet
and I found some wonderful items by Thunder Bay Press
and they kindly sent me some stuff as well and the first one is this Harry Potter embroidery kit
which is of Hogwarts castle
and I have not had a go at that yet, but they do loads of the other ones as well
so if you do like some embroidery and you’re looking to do something magical with the guide
then you can’t go wrong with this wonderful kit by Thunderbay Press
I’m very excited I’ve not done embroidery yet but I can certainly say that I’m very excited to do this
they sent me another item as well which
I couldn’t even understand that this is something that exists and it is an origami chess set
but a Harry Potter origami chess set
I have done a bit of origami in the past, but here is my little Dobby that I made I’ve really enjoyed doing this
and I will manage to complete them all, eventually when I have time, but i I’ve been having fun doing this
if you’re based in the US and the UK then
you would have the opportunity to sign up for Wizarding World Gold, which is the paid fan subscription
for Harry Potter fans – it gives you access to pins, exclusive access to products, events there’s a lot of things on there, on the digital app as well
so if you sign up for the first year you get a journal
and all the access to those things, but when you sign up for the second year, you get access to a exclusive pin set
which is of the Hogwarts Pets
and there are again exclusive things in this and available at the moment, only to people signing up for the second year
and it has all the little Hogwarts pets in
and they’re really, really very cute and I do love the Hedwig
I think one of my favourite is the Hedwig
a lovely little collection and you also get sent a pin
from one of the locations that normally you have to go to one of the locations to pick up the pins, but
the ones that are based in the US I’m not going to be accessing anytime soon
because of what’s happening in the world
and they sent me the one that was for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which is of Dumbledore
and has his quote with
‘those that we love never truly leave us’
you may also know that I love some Harry Potter food, I like creating my own things
replicating from the film, I like doing magical recipes that people have created
as well as being surprised by companies that actually make their own magical food
which Jelly Belly have done and created a chocolate golden snitch
it is solid milk chocolate and it is in the shape of a snitch
could this not be the most perfect stocking filler for any Harry Potter fan
that can eat chocolate of course
now this wouldn’t be something that I would usually get, but the Harry Potter shop at Plaform 9 3/4 at King’s Cross
contacted me and advised me that in the UK, they were doing a collaboration with a cosmetics brand
for some Harry Potter makeup
but I thought as they were happy to end me some samples, I would accept
and then gift them to my female Harry Potter friends that would use and love harry potter makeup
so I get a win-win, I get to show you guys what it looks like and then also gift them some of my friends
there are some nail files in each of the houses, I believe it’s a glass one and a regular nail file
so there is one in Gryffindor
Hufflepuff
Slytherin
and Ravenclaw…
as part of the Luna Lovegood range they sent a compact mirror
as well as some eyeshadow toppers and some colour changing lipsticks
and then as part of the Deathly Hallows range
this fantastic makeup brush set
which has got some cool like snake skin effect and the Deathly Hallows symbol on them as well
now you probably know, I love Cinereplicas
and Cinereplicas do some amazing prop replicas and some clothing
and they recently brought out a Time Turner necklace
now they were promoting like the wider jewellery range
and I don’t wear any jewellery but I love me some prop replicas
and they kindly sent me the Time Turner
– a beautiful item it is
and it does actually work, I timed it, I think it’s about 13 seconds
but yeah fabulous and it does actually turn by the the two little bits on the side
and then because Cinereplicas are amazing, they also kindly sent me the Gringotts bank chocolate mold set
which you can make your own chocolate coins, so
if you wanted to make vegan Gringotts coins, then you can do that by using the appropriate chocolate
and it comes with some gold foil that you can wrap them in a little gold bag
and like I can’t wait to do this, so it’s gonna be so much fun, I’m so excited
and that’s not it, Cherry Wallis again has launched
some amazing magical clothing, from Ordinary Owl as part of the Christmas launch
and I’m sure you’ve seen this amazing sweatshirt, that I’ve been wearing
and this is the Duelling Club in this bright yellow
– like it’s amazing
as well as this cool jumper, with my initial on, in a lovely yellow
and that’s not all a very luxurious candle like this is enormous
an enchanted candle, perfect for your inner witch on a cold winter’s day
cranberry, orange and cinnamon
I’m so incredibly grateful to have worked with
so many amazing magical companies this year, which we can all agree, has been pretty challenging
